New choices, big decisions

A decade after Pension Freedoms promised greater choice, savers are still confused about their retirement options. New research commissioned by People’s Pension reveals that many are turning to Facebook groups for help instead of more formal guidance and advice, and risk sleepwalking into retirement.

Join us for our next Wednesday Wisdom with Janette Weir of Ignition House, who will share findings from her unique, 10-year study, ‘New Choices, Big Decisions’. This research followed people throughout their retirement journey, revealing what actually happens when savers make pension decisions. The reality is messy: people make short-term, convenience-led choices rather than planning for a sustainable lifetime income.
