This event runs from 12pm to 2.30pm.

We're closer than we've ever been to solving the pensions engagement problem

Behavioural nudges. Needs-based interventions. Hyper-personalisation. Conversational AI.

The tools are there. But their success depends on one thing: data.

We don't yet have the means to understand pension scheme members well enough to talk to them as individuals. Until we do, we won't make the breakthroughs we want.

It's an industry-level issue, so it needs an industry-level approach

We're bringing together senior people from across the master trust and pension provider landscape, alongside innovators and disruptors from elsewhere, to explore what better data could make possible.

Introducing DC2: The Defined Contribution Data Challenge working group

It’s a new working group, chaired by Experian, leaders in data analytics and technology. Other founding members include Planda, a customer profiling and engagement platform, and insight-led communications consultancy Quietroom. The plan is for the group to meet regularly to share insight and ideas, and move the industry forward.

The first meeting is on 21 April 2026

We’ll focus on defining the problems worth solving and identifying where collaboration would be in everyone's interest. This isn't about presenting conclusions – it's about getting the right people in the room to shape what comes next. We'll share a full agenda closer to the date.

Please get in touch if you’d like to come along.
