The DC retirement income trade-off: security vs flexibility

Join experts from Quietroom and Standard Life to explore one of the hardest challenges in pensions
This breakfast event runs from 9am to 10.30am.
Speakers:
- Rhys Williams, Director at Quietroom
- Esther Hawley, Head of Retirement Proposition at Standard Life
- Garry Latimer, Investment Director at Standard Life
Our speakers will share the latest thinking on how the industry can better support members as they approach retirement, and how more targeted solutions could improve outcomes. We’ll also look at what changes in the regulatory landscape – including Guided Retirement and Targeted Support – might mean in practice.
We’ll cover:
- the main trade-offs members face when turning DC savings into income
- what “good” support looks like for members approaching retirement
- how Guided Retirement and Targeted Support could shape decisions and communications
- how targeted investment solutions can lead to better outcomes
- what trustees can do now to prepare for what’s next
