Drawing on real-world audits they have run for pension scheme clients, they show how generative AI tools like ChatGPT are already giving members wrong, misleading or dangerously incomplete answers to pension questions. That includes AI tools pulling content from the wrong schemes, confusing UK and overseas law, filling gaps with commercial predators, and crossing the boundary between guidance and regulated financial advice.
They also set out what schemes can do about it: fill content gaps, write in plain language, structure pages clearly, reduce code bloat, and remove outdated material.
