Simon specialises in helping DB pension schemes solve gnarly problems, and creating videos and animations that bring complicated subjects to life.
Since he joined Quietroom in 2007, Simon has created communications strategy and content for all kinds of clients. He has advised countless pension schemes in tricky situations, often against the clock and sometimes under the glare of the media.
He cut his teeth on controversial scheme changes at Kodak, BHS and British Steel. He led our work on the UK’s first ever GMP equalisation communications, and he’s been working with the Universities Superannuation Scheme since 2019, including on their complex and much-scrutinised valuation process.
He has also worked with numerous independent trustee firms, the PPF, The Pensions Regulator, the Bank of England, the Pensions Authority in Ireland and the PLSA, and has spoken at industry events at mallowstreet, the Transparency Task Force and Nest.
